Ashley Tiemeyer

Ashley Tiemeyer, PA-C, discovered her interest in medicine while in her first years of college through conversations with a family friend who worked as a nurse. She participated in her college’s pre-med shadowing program and began to work as a nurse’s aide to gain experience. After completing her undergraduate degree, she spent two years working in a medical ICU where she took advantage of any opportunity to observe procedures and learn more about medicine. This confirmed her decision to pursue medicine as a career and where her passion for cardiovascular medicine first was realized. This passion continued to grow throughout PA school and after finishing a rotation in inpatient cardiology, she was convinced that cardiovascular care was the perfect career.

Since joining the ACV team, Ashley has continued to expand her knowledge of cardiovascular care and is grateful to be a part of a team that is at the forefront of bringing awareness to a disease that is often overlooked or even unknown.

“Peripheral arterial disease was not something I had learned about in depth prior to working at ACV, but now I understand what a big impact it has on people’s lives,” Ashley said. “I appreciate being a part of a team that is so committed to providing truly the best care possible to our patients.”

Ashley received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Grand Valley State University and is BLS and ACLS certified. Her professional associations include the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants.

Outside of work, Ashley enjoys staying active with her recreation league softball team, camping and hiking with friends, and spending time with her family and cat, Bandit.
